32 Freelance Writing Gigs

Welcome, Freelance Writers.

I’ve been a full-time freelance writer for roughly 15 years. I worked through the “Great Recession” of 2008, the COVID pandemic, and many other tough times.

My LinkedIn feed is full of freelance writers seeking work. It’s full of laid-off FT employees moving into the freelance world. There may be more competition in the freelance writing space than ever before.

My best advice is to have a plan and follow it. Apply for jobs. Send cold pitches. Network with other writers.
